The garnishing for this dish is the simple yet still rich in
flavours, some coriander leaves, quail eggs, shredded chicken meat, slices of
egg omelette, bean sprouts, chives and fried shallots. One of the reasons this
dish is suitable for all ages is because, the special chilli paste may be added
into the dish for a spicier taste. The spicy sauce is a simple mixture of red
chillies, salt, sugar and vinegar.
Curry laksa and laksa Nyonya differs in terms of the
spices used in making both dishes. No curry powder or curry related spiced is
used in the making of Laksa Nyonya. One
will be able to distinguish between two by the aroma produced and the colour of
the stocks. The curry laksa is bright
brown in colour, whereas the Laksa Nyonya
is paler in colour and slightly peachy in colour.
